Due to the ongoing growth of our practice, NuActive Health is very excited to be offering  a new part time position for a clinical psychologist to join our growing psychology team as we simply need more psychologists to fulfil our referral demands. We have a beautiful purpose built psychology suite, and group intervention room to provide a wonderful working environment and the ability to deliver state of the art integrated health care offering complimentary services in the same location.
There is opportunity to work in a team to provide support to children, adults, athletes, couples and families, with particular interest in weight and eating related psychological issues. This position requires a highly motivated and caring person with excellent communication, assessment/intervention and organisation skills as well as a commitment and ability to work with a range of people, who have complex needs, to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Hours are flexible, although the position will require some afterhours times.
Applicants need to have-
•    Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and eligible for membership of the Australian Psychological Society, and the Australian Clinical Psychologists Association.
•    Registered as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist under the Medicare Scheme
•    Accreditation with Medicare to provide services under Mental Health Care Plans
•    Have sound clinical assessment and treatment skills including CBT experience and ideally trained in ACT and DBT therapy.
•    Experience in the assessment, design and delivery of mindfulness meditation, and positive behaviour support
•    Analytical and conceptual thinking skills
•    Strong counselling and relationship building skills
•    High level of communication skills to nurture relationships with established referral base including liaising with GPs.
•    Sound commitment to Ethical practice
•    Exemplary time management skills
•    Ability to work both within a team and individually
•    Experience and willingness to work with children and adolescents and a strong background in the treatment of disordered eating is desired.
•    This position requires a Working With Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Commission for Children and Young People. From 15 June 2013, all applicants will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check clearance from the Commission for Children and Young People.
