Joanne Turner BSc, MSc(Nutr, Diet & Ex Rehab), APD, AEP, AccSD

Accredited Practising Dietitian, Sports Dietitian & Exercise Physiologist / Director of NuActive Health

Joanne Turner is both an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Exercise Physiologist, with a Master of Science degree in nutrition, dietetics and exercise rehabilitation, from the University of Wollongong. Joanne is an Accredited Sports Dietitian, trained as a sports nutrition at the Australian Institute of Sport and has worked with national and state sporting teams and some of Australia’s top athletes. Joanne is the official dietitian to the Parramatta Eels NRL, Golf NSW and a NSW Institute of Sport Accredited Nutrition Service Provider. 

Joanne has additional qualifications in paediatric nutrition and is very passionate about promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle for kids. Alice Williams MAPS, BSc (Psychology), PGDip (Psychology)

Registered Performance Psychologist

Alice’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, and she is currently completing her Master of Science (Sport and Exercise Psychology). Alice is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia,  a Member of the Australian Psychological Society and registered with Medicare.

Dedicated to promoting optimal health and potential in the mental and physical performance of others, Alice endeavours to treat each individual with reference to their holistic well being. With experience in assessing and treating a range of mental health disorders, Alice is able to connect with people of all ages and with a variety of presenting psychological challenges. She utilises a mind body approach and a therapy style based on Cognitive Behavioural and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Alice specialises in health and well being coaching, stress management, eating disorders and weight loss difficulties, and performance challenges in the workplace, competitive sports settings, and study pursuits. Her passion lies in assisting her clients to balance the demands of performing at their best, whether it be in the workplace, at school, at home or on the sporting field. Alice aims to equip her clients with techniques intended to improve adherence to regular exercise routines and healthy eating, strengthen their resilience, enhance performance under pressure, develop mindfulness skills and increase mental strength. Alice’s priority is to build an empathic and genuine therapeutic environment for her clients in which they can experience personal growth and increased direction and meaning.

Catriona Hull BSc (Nutrition), MSc (Nutrition and Dietetics) APD

Accredited Practising Dietitian

Catriona is a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) and is officially recognised by then as an Accredited Practising Dietitian(APD). Catriona has a Bachelor of Science majoring in Nutrition and a Masters of Science degree majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Wollongong.

Catriona is a mother of four children and her main interests lie in the prevention and management of lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, weight management and polycysitic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Other interests include pregnancy health, coeliac disease and other gastrointestinal disorders such as Irritable Bowel Sydrome (IBS). Catriona's experience includes a variety of clinical and community based positions.

Catriona has a genuine passion for good health and helping people. She takes a fresh and innovative approach to empower people set personal goals. She translates the latest research into understandable and useable nutrition and lifestyle advice to make these goals a reality and provides ongoing support and motivation to make these changes permanent.

Dr Ray Olds M.B., B.S., B.Sc.

General Practitioner

Raymond Olds graduated in Science from Sydney University with a major in pharmacology in 1966, he then continued on at this university and graduated in Medicine in 1974.

Raymond Olds spent his first year after graduation at Royal Hobart Hospital, and second at Sutherland Hospital.  He then briefly joined a general practice in Gymea with Dr Murray Bamford before establishing this practice.  Here he gained valuable experience with a senior General Practitioner. Dr Olds has a special interest in Geriatrics.


Dr Greta Lee MB BS, MMed (Clin. Epi.), FRACP PhD


Dr Greta Lee is a consultant Gastroenterologist with a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She graduated from the University of Sydney, trained in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at St George and Sutherland Hospitals and pursued her interest in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis with an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship in Brisbane.

Dr Greta Lee holds a Masters of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology with Merit from the University of Sydney. She has completed a PhD at the University of NSW, studying immunological mechanisms underlying Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She is a casual lecturer at the University of NSW.

In addition to the treatment of patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, she offers practical management strategies for common gastroenterological problems including reflux, abdominal pain, colorectal cancer screening, rectal bleeding, constipation, diarrhoea and the irritable bowel syndrome.

Dr Greta Lee performs gastroscopies and colonoscopies and has admitting privileges at Kareena Private Hospital and President Private Hospital. She consults from her rooms in Miranda.

Our reception staff have many years experience in medical office administration.  They are skilled at dealing with people in a caring and friendly manner.

Leigh Hough - Receptionist

Leigh works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at NuActive Health.

Jessica Ward - Receptionist

Jessica works Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays at NuActive Health.

Jessica is also completing a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition) at UOW,

NuActive Health's Joanne Turner, is an invited member of the Medical Nutrition Advisory board for Optifast, providing expert advice on recipe development, program structure, client communication, and eduction of health professionals on very low calorie diets.

Creative Gourmet and Patties

NuActive Health consults to Creative Gourmet, the supplier of healthy frozen berries, providing online content about the health benefits of their products.

Parramatta Eels NRL Team

NuActive Health's, Joanne Turner, is the official dietitian of the Parramatta Eels NRL team for 2013. Prior to this she worked with the Cronulla Sharks NRL team, combining the latest nutrition science with peak performance nutrition advice to maximize the performance of the players.

NSW Golf

NuActive Health's Joanne Turner has recently been appointed the official dietitian to the NSW Golf team, where hydration and nutrition equal performance on the golf course!
